We do fleet and preventive maintenance, safety inspection, suspension and steering, air conditioning repair, engine performance, diagnostics and electrical repair, tires battery and alignments. We work by appointment only and do not serve wait/ walk in customers as we are focused on meeting the needs of our customers with an appointment. We may not be able to provide top quality service on a walk in basis, please call or message us for an appointment, we return all messages.

My husband and I are new to the area and we were looking for a new mechanic. Unfortunately, we needed to find one sooner rather than later when my car wouldn't start one morning. My husband called Antietam Auto because its .6 miles from our house. They gave us the number to a great tow company that they usually work with and I had my car towed there within the next day. By the end of the day, Justin had diagnosed that I needed a new starter and had ordered it right away. He had my car fixed and ready to go by 10am the next day! I was blown away by how fast he fixed my car and by the low price he charged me compared to other mechanics I have gone to. He even did a complementary 27 point inspection of my car which I thought was a very nice touch. I am BEYOND thrilled with my experience with Justin!! I told him I hope that I don't have to see him again for a while, but I know if I do that he will indeed take care of me. Thank you so much to Justin and his awesome crew! You all rock!

We took our vehicle, a ford diesel, to Justin on several occasions. One of the first visits was for a bad pinion bearing in the rear end. While inside doing the repair, Justin found other issues, which he seemed to support with facts, and would cost more money to repair. We agreed, but when we got the truck back, it had a bad vibration that wouldn’t go away. 2 more visits, but Justin was unable to find the root cause of the problem, and assured us it wasn’t his fault. Fast forward to now, and the rear has come apart. Now at a different reputable repair shop, the truth comes out. It wasn’t repaired properly the first time, loads weren’t set correctly upon initial instal, shims were missing, and the shop owner (who’s been in business longer than Justin’s been alive) said it looked like the work of a rookie. The bad news for us was...it managed to hold together for 10,000 miles, and in that time we had other repairs done...like motor work and the replacement of the High Pressure Oil Pump. Again, once inside the engine, Justin found a host of issues that he “recommended” and wouldn’t be able to warranty the job without. We did as he suggested, repaired it all, and left confident that our truck was tip-top. ...Until it literally stopped on the side of the road, too far away from Justin to go back to Antietam Automotive, thankfully. The repair shop it went to found the problem quickly, and also discovered that most of the repair work that Justin had done had incorrect torque settings. For those that don’t know...torque is essentially how tight the bolts are, and in motor repair work, those settings are detailed and specific. Justin’s were all wrong. Once repaired properly, the truck has run flawlessly, and when the rear end went up...well, we had a feeling, and sure enough, it all comes back to workmanship. Justin is a nice guy, but his workmanship is sub standard, and being that he works for himself, he really can’t stand behind big jobs and warranty them the way legitimate shops can. If you take repairs to Antietam Automotive, consider yourself warned, and stick with the easy stuff. Oil changes, fluid changes, etc. For real diesel repairs and motor work? Go to someone else. He talks a good game, but the results speak for themselves. We’re never going back, and it’s a shame, because he’s close by and convenient.

Justin has worked on our vehicles and has always done a great job! It's hard to find a good vehicle repair shop that you can trust and Antietam Automotive has always treated me well.
