I made a purchase over the phone and was told they would apply a 10% discount to my purchase(roughly $25.00). My mechanic picked up part and took to shop for install.
After receiving my receipt, the card was charged full amount. I called to discuss, and was told there was nothing they could do about it unless I came back with the part and credit card to do full return and repurchase with 10% discount actually applied this time. I inquired about a possible credit toward next purchase and was told that would not be an option.
Its not worth my mechanics time to go and return to Autozone, and have me drive 20 min to provide them with the physical card in hand needed for return(even though I could pay over phone). They used to be my go to auto parts store, but NAPA or Advanced Auto Parts has provided me with better customer service. Its not about the amount, its about the principle.Tuesday 4th January 2022
