After serving as a Motor Sergeant in the US Military, he moved to Independence to work at a Lincoln dealership. In the early ‘80s, during a recession that saw the closure of many dealerships in the area, Dale decided to open up shop. Since then, The Car Shop has established itself as a pillar in the local community, providing honest, high-quality services day in and day out. I am based in Sydney Australia as a motoring journalist for Street Machine magazine and have worked in the auto industry for the past 28 years using Dale for the past 15 years. I originally purchased a race motor they built and since then have used The Car Shop as the base for our USA racing operation. Over the years they have serviced/ maintained/built all our race and road cars, we have trusted them with the purchase and acquisition of hundreds of thousands of dollars in cars and equipment. Their service and honesty is impeccable. Aside from being easy to deal with, they are honest and reliable mechanics, without doubt, one of the best I have ever encountered.

Open ands honest. Price came in quite a bit lower than estimates and expected. Did not push more costly options, fair, very friendly. I am new to KS and i have found my car shop. Could not really be happier
