The original issue I had brought it in for was not repaired.
Prices: A little high
They charged roughly $600 to replace an oil pan gasket.
They are skilled mechanics, however I do not think I will go here again.
They left the car a mess on the outside paint, but that's not that big of a deal. The prices felt okay for the most part, not super expensive, although $110 an hour is very expensive. I understand the amount of knowledge someone needs to dive into an engine, but they did not do that. I originally came in for a head gasket leak (at the time, I assumed that was the issue) They repaired some bad fuel lines, intake manifold gaskets, engine mounts, and an oil pan gasket. Total came out to just under $1600, like I said, not that big of a deal. Until I realized that the original issue I had brought it in for was not repaired. I found out that the white smoke coming from my tail pipe was actually not coming from the tail pipe, it was a rear main seal leak.
Kind of feels like I got ripped off, I'm upset that this was not found until all of these other smaller repairs were finished, I do not understand how they could not find the leaking main seal sooner. I had originally taken it out of the shop after they finished the majority of the repairs, and it was still smoking minutes after I left. I cannot afford the cost to repair a rear main seal leak, they were running me for $800 after I had just spent $1600. I wish they would have found the main issue sooner instead of all the smaller issues.Saturday 18th September 2021
