Terry Miracle3 StarInquired about having some exhaust work done. I told them there was an exhaust leak at the manifold. Dropped the truck off and waited a couple days for an update. Decided to call and check in, but was told they couldn't find a leak at the manifold. I urged them to take it for a road test, to confirm. They did recommend a new muffler and pipe, to which I approved. Another couple of days passed and I still hadn't heard back on my latest inquiry, so I called again. I was told there was no leak at the manifold and that they were waiting on an oxygen sensor that had to be ordered. I hadn't approved an additional $100 for the sensor prior to them ordering it, but if it had to be done I wasn't going to make it an issue; these things happen.
A few days later, I was informed that the truck was finished up. I was also told that they finally located the exhaust manifold leak that I had originally brought to their attention (& the primary reason for me bringing the truck to them). At this point, I was a bit nervous to have them continue working on the vehicle, since it took over a week to confirm a fairly obvious exhaust leak. Opted to look elsewhere for the remaining work needed.
I want to re-iterate that the gentleman I spoke with was very nice. Also, the price for the work they did was fair. From what I can tell, the work they did perform is of good quality. Communication was ultimately where the ball was dropped, outside of the diagnosis troubles.Friday 18th March 2022
