I have used Deakins in the past and was happy with the service. I think they are still a competent shop, but recently I needed help with my truck. I called and explained that the engine was rebuilt and had run but hit a snag. I decided it was time to elicit a professional opinion. Made an appointment having fully disclosed the issues and then brought the truck to them. They decided after the truck was there that they didn't want to do anything. All I was asking for was help, and they refused... after having delivered the truck to them. Expense of transporting the truck twice and I am no further along. It was a very disappointing experience and I will avoid them in the future. I didn't need them to guarantee work they had not done, I was just looking for help. Addition since there is no way to respond to the reply: Full disclosure was given over the phone and a full writeup left in the truck. Nothing was communicated piecemeal. Your unwillingness to own up to the disservice is further reason to avoid your business. I'm lowering the score to a 1. Your response is further telling. Must be new management.
