I've been a DP customer since I moved to DC in 2019, for a variety of needs. They've always been upfront, efficient and effective. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate the attitude David and co run their business with, I always feel like I'm being given straight, fair answers and charged reasonable prices. I trust them wholeheartedly with my car, which is about the highest compliment I can pay a business, particularly one where the expertise imbalance between customer and business is such that it would be easy to charge for work that isn't necessary. Many shops give in to the temptation, but multiple times I've asked whether certain services would be necessary and been told no. DP is great and deserves your business, and I will be sad to eventually move and need to find someone else to replace them.

Dave is the best mechanic. I have a 20 year old car that I hope to drive for 20 more years because of Dave. I have never been condescended to by anyone on his staff and never feel ripped off. In fact, he often charges me less than his estimate and regularly tells me not to bother to fix some stuff. He also lets me order after-market parts myself and then I just pay his team labor costs. Everyone who works there is nice, enormously competent and clearly enjoys their work.
