I took my work van to have a rack and pinion replaced. It was a job that should have taken 3 hours but took 5 days. The only time Michael was able to get anything done fast was to cash my check within 30 minutes of him getting it. Probably knew I'd of stopped payment when I found out what poor work he did if he waited.Part of the problem was that when they put it back together it wouldn't start. Ended up being they broke the crank sensor, which they had the nerve to charge me for. Most of the problem was Michael didn't know what he was doing, ed indicated as much. Didn't really surprise me he'd of said that seeing as Michael blamed him for not tightening the sway bar link. They also broke a plastic electrical box that they chose not to repair. They also didn't tighten the sway bar link. I had to bring it back 3 times for those issues along with the last time. Less than a week after I got it back it started to quit running . I was told they didn't have time to look at it Thursday or Friday, to bring it in Monday. They open at 8:30 so I got there at 8:20. Michael finally showed up at 10:00. Ed came out of his trailer at 9 to let me know Michael would be there at 9:30 but had no interest in looking at the problem himself. When Michael finally showed up and moved the van inside and looked at it he made every attempt at shirking responsibility. According to him it had nothing to do with him or his work even though it was doing exactly what it was doing after they put it back together and it wouldn't start. Long story short they let it sit in the parking lot for 5 days without looking at it. Had 2 trouble codes that indicated it was the crank sensor. It still has a power steering whine that was supposed to have quit after 500 miles. I have been going to this place for a long time to get inspections because it was quick and easy but never seriously considered having any actual work done. Not sure what made me change, must've been a brain fart. What a mistake. Never again will I take anything to them. Will have to pay a actual mechanic to fix what they should have.
