We took our pickup in a few months back because of the check engine light. Turns out the motor was out, so they put a new one in with a great warranty! But about a month and a half later, the check engine light came back on. Took back to expert and they changed the coil backs and other things. And told us they couldn’t figure it out. They thought it was the cat, but they couldn’t test the exhaust flow. So we had to take it somewhere else. Other shop checked the flow, cats were completely fine. They found that the motor was running extremely lean and eventually would have blown in no time again.. The other shop found Two cross threaded spark plugs, a bad wire, a bad gasket on the manifold because the wrong bolt was put in it that was not even threaded in all the way, mass air flow sensor was shot. When they put the hood back on, It was bolted crooked with eggs gap on one side. We had to put it on the Square when we got home and noticed it. They were able to find all of those things within a few hours and expert auto couldn’t figure it out with it being there for two days. What’s the point in even buying a motor with a warranty if they are going to know what’s wrong with it and be able to fix it with the warranty. Instead we had to go to another shop and pay for what Expert should have been able to figure out and fix. The other shop also sent us home with a copy of all the things expert should’ve been able to cover with a warranty.
