My girlfriends car wouldn't start after getting gas at the gas station that was connected. I told her she probably needed a jump. The gas attendant told her the owners of this shop were inside and they might be able to help her. She went in and asked if they could jump her car since it was stalled outside. They seemed like they didn't want to be bothered and told her "sorry we're closed today" and basically shut the door on her. It takes 5, maybe 10 minutes to jump a car. It's also a week before Christmas, guess it's too much to ask for someone to be a kind person during these times. After reading the other reviews I guess this should have been expected. I'll never go here to fix my car My girlfriend did make a point to say the gas station attendant was very nice and the gas station is a separate business.

If you want to be insulted, charged an exorbitant price, and actually not have your car fixed, then this is the place for you. Absolutely awful.

I love having the peace of mind of when I need my vehicles looked at, J&A are right in town to help. It is so hard to find a mechanics you trust, and I feel so fortunate to have found these guys. Jeff is fantastic, friendly, and always finds out the problem with the vehicle. Their prices are fair and very reasonable. I have been going to them for quite a few years now and will continue without hesitation in the future. Thank you J&A!

As a resident of Atlantic Highlands who owns 2 vehicles I wish I was writing a favorable review for this auto repair shop. My husband brought his car in for and estimate of repairs. He was quoted $400 more than the dealership (which tends to be higher). When he told the owner Jimmy that, the owner replied "Fine then get your f***ing car outta here and go there". His car was held hostage until he paid $150 in cash for the estimate (he said that was the price to diagnose the problem). Two years later I had a bulb out on my Jeep. I went into the auto parts store (next to J&A) and the guy behind the counter was unsure of the replacement to give me. There was a mechanic outside so, I asked him if I could pay him to help remove the bulb he said he would do it no problem. As he was under the car the owner Jimmy came out yelling and cursing at him (in front of adults and children coming out of the elementary school across the street). He then turned to me and yelled "what the hell does this look like a charity shop?!" "f you want your bulb changed pay me and I'll go next door and buy one." I would crawl on my hands and knees before I would bring a vehicle to his repair shop. The owner Jimmy is arrogant, obnoxious and money hungry. And for the record the gas station that is on the premises is not owned by the same person.
