Kind of annoyed with Midas (in general). The service yesterday (in greenfield Wisconsin that I moved to now) itself was good as I had an oil change/courtesy check and the lady was very nice when I checked in. However, my car has an under-shield and after my appointment, I don't think the guy didn't put all the screws back in. When I drove somewhere later, I heard something come unattached and discovered the under-shield didn't have all the screws back in/and is hanging a little. Before this when I lived in Colorado, the Fort Collins location mechanic complained about the under-shield when trying to change my oil saying it was in the way and felt at the time he was making excuses not to put it all back the way it was (i put the screws myself back to attach it then afterwards). Not expecting Midas to fix it themselves as it's just a minor thing/I don't mind doing it but it's just annoying. Know the Fort Collins location has had staffing issues as they were always short handed when I went there.

Went into Midas in Fort Collins on College, not a single car inside the shop nor in parking lot. 2 guys hanging out with the bays open doing nothing. I walk in, instantly can see how annoyed they are that work may be coming in. I just need one simple weld done. Midas advertises they do exhaust work. The guy who finally came to counter says “ummmmm we don’t weld pipe, only replace with new” okay so can you do that? I ask. He responds with. “Umm we don’t have a welder”. Dumbfounded I leave. I double check their services on website, yup, exhaust work is listed. Wouldn’t “exhaust work” require a welder?? lol. Sorry I disturbed your “hangout” session. Will never go to a Midas again, not because of no welder 🤷‍♂️ But the absolute terrible attitude of the staff when confronted with work.

Never even made it in the door. I made an appointment online and got the call within 30 minutes to reschedule then less than 5 minutes later a different guy called me to reschedule again. I was a actually interested in seeing how far this reschedule confusion would continue but if scheduling people is too difficult for them I don't know if I trust them to work on my vehicle.
