In December of 09 I had a transmission go out, or that's what I thought. Now looking back I know it was just the front seal leaking. The guy who worked up front convinced me that it whole transmission needed to be rebuilt, because it was slipping. At this time I was just a kid and didn't know anything about car except how to change the oil. Long story short I left the car with them for repair. I had half the money at the time to pay for it, so I called and asked if I could pay half and get my things out of it. Everything I had was in it. I was just getting separated from the Navy. That same guy said no unless I paid the entire bill. I will admit it was 2-3 weeks later at that point. I do know now that had I just allowed them to fix the leak I could had paid that same day, and all would have been avoided. Thanks for getting over on me Mr. Trans of Newport News. 👍🏽

Everyone please give these guys a chance to look at your the vehicles. The Female there is very quick on getting you a accurate quote and the tall gentleman there is very knowledgeable in what he's doing. I've been coming to Mr transmission for over the last 2 years and felt the need to finnaly write them a review because I am leaving to Colorado this month and will miss having a reliable place to bring my vehicle. Every time I've brought my vehicle to them they've always been good value, polite, on time, and professional. They have saved me a lot of money. Especially just recently I was told by Toyota dealership that it would cost $8,000 to replace my transfer case and actuators which had me scared because I'm about to leave on a road trip. But when I brought it to Mr transmission the gentleman there reassured me everything is a okay and didn't charge me anything and could still use 4x4 drive at anytime I want. Even if I had to replace everything it was still only like a quarter of the price of what the dealership told me. Definitely going to miss having this shop as a reliable source for my vehicles. 😎👍

I had to bring my car for checking the transmission, as I was there I met a gentleman also getting his vehicle checked. The work area was very visible so we could actually see the work they were doing. While they were working on Jerimiah's car, him and I spoke how they were working on getting a cap that had gotten into his transmission. It was amazing to see the determination that the two guys had ( I wish I knew their names) to get the piece out, otherwise it would have taken a lot more work and expense to fix his car. We were so impressed that Jerimiah went out to get some cash to tip the guys for taking that extra care for the vehicle and customer. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs help. Oh, my car? Not so good news. 2008 Focus with 355,000 miles, not worth the cost of a new transmission. It's had a good life.

Wonderful people that really do great work. This is my second visit and I have been treated with nothing but respect and good spirit. Mr. Transmission has a very knowledgeable staff and reasonable prices. I highly recommend them.
