My car’s check engine light came on, and I took it to Northern. They dropped what they were doing to check the code. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get me in for about 2 weeks, so I made the mistake of taking it to another shop in town thinking it was a minor issue. The other shop said it was a blown head gasket and it would cost around $3000 to fix. I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me, so I waited to bring it back to Northern. Northern Auto charged me less to fix the actual problem than the other place did to “diagnose” it. They guys at Northern have been kind, professional, and trustworthy in my experience. As a female who doesn’t know much about cars, I feel comfortable taking my vehicle to them and getting an honest assessment. My only complaint is that they are so busy that it takes a bit to get in. There’s obviously a reason for that, though. I won’t make the mistake of going anywhere else in the future.

Heading from North Dakota to Glacier, had a pebble stuck in our axle making a horrible screeching noise. Thought we required a major repair, but the guys at Northern Auto Repair were able to quickly diagnose the issue and solve the problem. They wouldn't accept payment for the work, but we were sure to leave a nice tip. Would highly recommend!

Was passing through about 3 weeks ago and had my fuel pump going out. Northern auto quoted me at least 800 for just the pump and 3 weeks out. If that's the problem, he would have to check it out first. Got it to the pit crew in Malta. They got me in the next day and cost 412 installed and out the door. I'm sure you can guess where I would suggest you go if you're in the area. I made it back to North Dakota in time for work and can't thank the pit crew enough.
