The check engine light came on in my Dodge Journey. There was a knocking sound in the engine, but it started and ran just fine. I dropped the vehicle off for them to look at. They later called me to tell me that their diagnostic machine was showing a misfire and advised that it needed spark plugs and the ignition coil replaced. They said that it would be 576 dollars so I told them to do the work. They later called and said that they did the work but it did not fix the problem. They said that it is likely a lifter arm in the engine and it would be 3,000 do 5,000 dollars to fix. I did not want to spend that much money so I told them I would pay for the work they did and pick it up. After I paid them, I went to get my vehicle and it would not start. I asked Michael to look at it and figure out what the problem was because the vehicle started and ran before they did the work on it. After several days, they let me know that it was likely due to a fuel injector, said they had a used one in the shop, and said they were going to install it. They later informed me that this did not fix the problem. I went to get my keys and Michael told me that they put a gasket set in and charged me 201 dollars. The vehicle still would not start or run so I had to have it towed from their property. I dropped off a vehicle that ran, they guessed at what the problem was, worked on it, and I was left with a vehicle that would not run. Reade's Automotive used to have a pretty good reputation, but that must have been under the previous management. I would not use them unless you want to be out a lot of time and money.

This is the only place Ive ever felt comfortable taking my vehicle to. Just recently need Cam Sensor replaced and decided on a whim Id just walk-in and see if they would have the time to look at it. Well he did and even had it finished and ready to go by the end of the day. Actually they stayed 10 mins longer waiting for me! And gave us a great deal on some LED taillights before we left also! Thanks so much! Great Service.
