Our History: Don opened the business in 2005, and is still owner, operator and lead mechanic. We have added more experienced mechanics as we've grown. Our team has over 50 years of combined automotive diagnostic and repair experience. We work on practically everything. All makes and models of domestic gas and diesel vehicles, as well as Asian (Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Kia, Subaru). We're one of the only repair shops in town that work on European cars (VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volvo, etc.) This is a GREAT place for car repairs. Don & crew does very high quality work and charges fair prices. They keep track of the repairs they have done on vehicles, and if parts are under warranty, they hold the supplier's feet to the fire. They have always treated my daughter and sister-in-law exceptionally well. Wonderful business operated with integrity and customer service. My car broke down on the cross country trip from Virginia to Oregon. AAA towed my car to RMA and Donald was able to look at it immediately. I needed a new alternator and they had one in stock locally. The repairs were done the next morning and I was back on the road by 10am. The price was very reasonable at under $700 and I was able to complete my trip. Thank you, RMA!! On a recent cross country trip, our truck had both front wheel bearings go out while passing through Cheyenne. We were referred by a local tire mechanic to give Rocky Mountain Automotive a call and see if they could check the truck out bright and early Monday morning. Don and the mechanics did an excellent job at figuring out what was wrong, fixing it and getting us back on the road by 12:30 that afternoon. Being a visitor to the city and not knowing anyone there, we felt that Rocky Mountain Automotive took very good care of our vehicle and left a wonderful impression with us of the hospitality of Cheyenne. One of the best experiences I’ve had at any shop. Professional and friendly. Don was very knowledgeable about my car, and didn’t try to push additional things. He answered all my questions without hesitation. This was the first time I’ve been to their shop, but it won’t be the last. They are going to be the only shop I’ll take my car to. Bought a vehicle for cheap from a very dishonest dealer (dk super autos) I did what I could to save it. Paid don to help me get it back in good shape and he pulled through and did an amazing job. Missed a couple things but that's okay they did exactly as I asked.
