SS&E replaced my furnace today and very happy with the customer service from Perry and Matt. Perry went though my options and provided competitive pricing over the phone with no hidden cost. Furnace was ordered that day and installed by Matt the next day. Installation and customer interaction by Matt was very professional. Very polite and took extra time to answer all of our questions. Would recommend SS&E to anyone. At work, we've had issues with our heating and air conditioning for quite some time - pretty much a year. We had Sermon send a technician over the other day to look into what was wrong, and within a short visit, they were able to quickly determine our zone settings were not setup properly (by the last company that serviced the system) and correct it. Now, just in time for the cold, we actually have a working heating system.The technician was quick and thorough, and did a great job explaining what he did to correct the problem! I had the pleasure of interacting with Ted Sermon for several years and I can honestly say that he is one of the most amazing businessmen I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I would highly recommend calling them for any services needed on your home or business. Huge THANK YOU to Sermon Service and Electric!!!I have done business with them for years. #1. They show up. #2. They are ethical and Honest. They tell you what needs done and what you really don't need to spend your money on.... I LOVE THAT!! #3. They can do Electrical and Plumbing and Generators and likely more, and they do it right and back up their work. #4. They are really nice. I love that. It should be #1. #5. They will keep you safe because they are experts with following and knowing code. No worry about shoddy work here. #6. They give you the options and pros and cons of them so you can make the right decision for you. They are not pushing the ""special of the day"", they are looking out for you! We were putting in a new A/C unit and after much discussion (Much patience on their part) and looking at every conceivable option, we decided to put in a Heat Pump. It will more than handle the A/C and will save us 1/3 or more on our heat bill. Makes a lot of sense. What is more, I have BAAAAAAAAAD year around allergies. And they are also putting in a central air cleaner. Along with cutting down on the dust (OK, maybe looking forward to that as much as the allergy relief) I might be able to go more than a few days without being up all night with a major allergy attack. And that by the way, is with weekly shots and daily meds. So if you are withing reasonable driving distance of Idaho Falls, call Sermon Service and Electric! 208-542-4545. Tell them Lani sent you. From the phone call to set up the appt Amy was very friendly and answered any questions. I called around 9:30am and she said she could have a tech out today after 1. I got a call around 11:30am and he was on his way. Wyatt was great!!! Very professional and explained everything. No pressure at all just explained what all was going on made some recommendations. I would definitely recommend this company to any!!! Thank you!!! Our heater went out, called Sermon and they had someone here that morning! We have always been treated the absolute best with Sermon, from the Customer service to the service people!!! Everyone of them is amazing!!!We will never go anywhere else! I think I called 6 or 7 different plumbing companies to see if the could come fix it and everyone of except Sermon Service said it would be next week. These guys came out today and in about 3 hours they had to fixed. Kord did a great job and was super nice. These guys were cheaper than other companies I called. I highly reccomend these guys . Great service very friendly and very professional. I am leaving this review on behalf of Jacob Grant Property Management. We absolutely love working with this company. Sermon is one of our vendors that we use on a regular basis for electrical and HVAC work. Before every winter we offer our owners a complete furnace inspection for the properties that we manage, Sermon helped us with this inspection and did a great job with everything reported. We manage around 850 units so this is quite the work load. They showed up on time, gave us detailed reports, and even gave us estimates for the problems that they found. Very organized company! As a bonus, we did not receive even one complaint from any of our tenants on their work, problems with the technicians, or being inconvenienced. Thank you Sermon for being a great vendor that we can always count on!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE RIPPED OFF!!! The receptionist was helpful and was able to get a tech out the same day to address an issue. The tech was able to diagnose the issue rather quickly. The motor on a unit needed to be replaced and I was quoted $2200 to get a motor rebuilt since there was a 4-6 week lead time for a new one. I have had it replaced before so knew that it was around $250 for a brand new one. I told the tech I was going to use my resources to see if I can find it elsewhere. I was able to find one locally brand new for $240 and was told by the supplier that this motor can’t be rebuilt. When I called Sermon Service back to talk to a manager, I was helped by receptionist who said they had called the same company where I picked up the motor from. These guys were probably going to buy that new motor and charge me $2200 for a $250 motor. I understand that supply chains are backed up and product isn’t available but this company uses that excuse to rip people off. I had someone else install the motor rather than call them back. Received the bill for the service call which was $250 ($99 service call and $149 first hour) which is on the higher end of a service call for a HVAC company. Use at your own risk. REPLY TO OWNER COMMENT 10/7/2021: Since your company did call the wholesaler I bought the motor from, I am sure you are aware that they are an authorized dealer and their parts come with a warranty. The motor was in stock locally and was replaced with the same exact one that went bad. I wonder how your company was going to get the bad motor rebuilt that couldn't even be rebuilt because of its specs? Something doesn't add up.
