My check engine light came on today while I was traveling through Chattanooga so I stopped at State Line. I was impressed with the mechanic and the owner who looked at the car and told me it was an issue that could wait until I traveled back home. I know nothing about cars so they could have taken advantage of that but they didn't. Grateful to have had honest and helpful people assisting me today.

We needed emergency service on our way through town and John Memmer at State Line Auto TN was a dream! He was so nice, and he calmed me down and helped us get back on the road in no time. The guys there are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, and if I'm ever in the area and need work again, I'm going back. 10/10 would recommend.

These people are crooks 150%. Especially if you are from out of town. The guy who I'm assuming owns the place (blond, glasses, beard) gave us the run around all day long the day before Christmas Eve. We where having trans issues, he wanted to replace the whole trans for us. He clearly was not very knowledgeable on the issues with the car, it is not a transmission shop. I did not feel that he even diagnosed the problem correctly. So I decided to take the car to a transmission shop down the road. The owner of this Stateline auto place tacked on almost 300$. Our total bill was almost 350$ for his "diagnostic test." Then he kicked us off the property when we where waiting for a tow truck. It was funny watching him get all red and bent outta shape over not being able to swindle us on Christmas. I hope this place goes under as soon as humanly possible. 0/10. Would not recommend.

I am a Porsche guy. I have a few Porsche’s and I drive from Atlanta to get John to do All the work on my cars. I also send my 18 year old son to get ALL his 2018 BMW M2 work done with John! Traveling through TN, I found I had a tire that wouldn’t keep air in it. Found a hole in the side wall of the tire. State Line employees were courteous, fast, and considerate of the fact I was traveling. They located a new matching tire, and I was back on the road fast! The cost was very reasonable.
