I just moved to the area and needed a good reliable mechanic. Tom got my truck in so fast and had it fixed the same day! He was very honest and didn't try to upsale more work, just gave me a list of things he noticed along the way. This is my new mechanic.

Took in for a warranty replacement for a window regulator. After 6 hours I called now telling me I would have to pay, didn't order and working on a quote for other "repairs". Had both rear wheels off on lift, hood opened. Told them to put everything pack together and took car. Will never do business with them again!

Recently came in to get a timing belt replaced and received quick and same day service. However, Tim also told me that my front brake pads were worn down to 1mm or less and that I needed to replace them. I took my car to a different garage to get a second quote and they told me that not only did I not need new pads but that the front were 4mm and the rear were 6mm which is still very safe to drive with. I feel like I was being hustled and upsaled for something I didn’t need. Don’t fall for the dishonest surprise tactics they might try on you when you’re already giving them money for something else.

My mom had been using Sun Devil for 7 years until she had to sell her car and move to assisted living. She kept recommending this place for oil changes. So I finally used them a year ago and they were quick, efficient and reasonably priced. So last week, my tires were looking flat and I was past due an oil change and decided to call them to make an appointment. Surprisingly, They got me in the next day and indicated that 3 of my tires had dry rot and needed to be replaced. Again, surprisingly, they ordered the tires and got me in the next day to put on my new tires (the tires were 7 years old but only had 11,658 miles on them, but you know…age and Arizona heat destroyed them). Another surprise! They actually let me bring my separation anxiety dog in to sit in the waiting room while my tires were installed! It took less than an hour and very reasonably priced! I’m still in shock that they actually had tires in stock from another facility they could order from because of the shortage of products going on due to Covid and demand exceeding supply. My ride is so smooth now. I really notice a big difference with new tires. Amazing! Super friendly employees, quick service, reasonable prices, and better yet-less than a mile from home! You simply can’t go wrong with Sun Devil. The waiting room was packed both days I was there, and that is a legitimate testimony that people highly regard them. And they are honest too!
