20 years ago had an interaction with Steve and it's still painful. I was looking for a used Volvo. He said he didn't have any at the moment in my price range but would keep looking. I found one at a dealer in Poughkeepsie and called him to say thank you but I'm all set. He asked where I found one and I told him. Two days later I went to pick the car up and it was gone. The dealer sold it to Steve for a 1/3 of what I was going to pay! (Dealer actions were deplorable too, but this is about Steve.) I called him up for an explaination. He said, "I did you a favor, I bought the car so I could fix it up for you and sell it back all nice"!!!! Wow!! The nerve, the sneakyness, the unethical implications are unbelievable. I felt so cheated, so violated. He is an absolute scumbag to this day I can't stand that man. What a cheat, what a jerk. Try earning an honest living.

My Man! Bought my '92 940 VOLVO sedan from Steve in 2013, w. 79K miles on it. Still going strong at 175K. Steve and his assistant do excellent work. I have owned VOLVOs since 1976 and have gone to Steve since 2003, when I moved to this area. He always does his best to find used parts to save costs. Steve wears his politics on his sleeve - and on the walls of his office and adjacent piano studio. I wonder if any of the negative stuff I see in other reviews here might be a reaction to his political views rather than his work.

Steve is very knowledgeable and professional. Really knows his Volvos. We have two classic 240s and take them both to him.
