I have a 2000 ford f250 diesel that died suddenly and would not restart ....upon a recommendation and research.....I believed Lucas Theis of Theis Auto to be an upstanding honest mechanic....when I met him face to face there were some questionable behaviors. ..but because of the reviews I went against my gut and had my truck towed from norwood mn to the shop location in carver. Upon delivery of my truck lucas met me in the yard and we reviewed what parts I had already replaced...and it was at this time he explained that he would do a diagnostic to find the issue, also saying at this it was probably just a simple retraining of the main computer..it was then agreed upon that he would then call me with the results and if it would need any parts and cost. So with a hand shake, a detailed list of what had been done my name and contact information and a promise that he would be fair quick and honest I left my truck there on monday June 1st expecting to have it back by wednesday june 3rd. I returned home 3 1/2 hours away expecting a phone call Tuesday morning....no call...no call wednesday so I made phone calls only to learn my truck was still sitting where I left it. Monday June 8th still no truck...only to learn that there had been calls made to people not authorized to make any decisions about my vehicle...and it was thru these people I have now learned that Mr Theis has a severe prescription drug problem and that he requested to be paid this way insted of cash. According to people he was calling and texting in excess of 50 times requesting this illegal payment it still took another four days for a phone call not to me but to friends of my spouse to be made aware that the truck was done but there would be storage fees on top of a bill of a final bill of one thousand dollars, but he would be willing to knock some of it off if these people would find away to help him help myself and my husband ( knowing we live on a fixed income) After much debate between Mr Theis and my husband via phone calls and text message thru other people (because if a sight loss my husband does not use cell phones) it was agreed that my husband would pay $300 dollars on friday june 12 and the remaining balance of 600 be paid off by July 1st and there would be no storage fee because it took so long due to the lack of focus Mr Theis had on getting my truck repaired. Now please everyone be aware that never once was I the actual owner contacted regarding the truck and my husband led to believe that I had been. So on Sunday June 14th I finally seen my truck for the first time in over two weeks only then to learn of the cost and that my truck still is not safe to drive let alone travel the 3 hours home. And here is where the true depth of Mr Lucas Theis's shady, unscrupulous, drug addicted, inability to be honest and stand by his word and true lack of auto repair skills along with blackmail and threats truly shows it self. Once again 6 days after reaching an agreement with my husband there is a text message sent to a person (who only provided help in getting my truck to a safe location ) accusing my husband ( who does not lie cheat or steal and is 65% blind) of giving him a counterfeit 100 dollar bill...and if he does not A- provide the drugs he seeks or B pays the bill now he would call the authorities. Now mind you neither my spouse or myself knew of his use or the numerous requests and threats of blackmail he has made to people with no involvement with my truck. So tonight a carver county deputy show up where my truck is parked..... questioning the home owner about my husband's character and that of the man who helped him bring g the truck to a safe spot even thou Mr Theis has called and sent threatening text message in the excess of 60 times since 430 this afternoon. And here is the questions you all must ask 1- why is Mr theis's father not stepping up to stop his sons deception and illegal behaviors that only hurt a customer. 2- what kind of business allows someone so obviously unbalanced to use the name and reputation to swindle innocent people
