HAD AN APPT SCHEDULED. I WAS A FEW MIN. LATE. CALLED TO LET THEM KNOW. THEY WERE VERY GRACIOUS. MY CAR IS A 1993 TOYOTA COROLLA DX WAGON...ON ITS LAST LEGS BUT I'M DISABLED AND IT WILL PROB B MY LAST CAR. SO, NURSING IT ALONG. I HAVE BEEN HERE B4, THO YRS AGO. SAME COURTEOUS PROFESSIONAL MANOR. THESE GUYS ARE FAST, EFFICIENT AND ALL BUSINESS. I LIKE THAT! THEY ESCORTED ME TO A VERY CLEAN, WELL VENTILATED WAITING ROOM THAT HAS WINDOWS LOOKING OUT TO THE GARAGE SO YOU SEE YOUR CAR THE WHOLE TIME. ALSO NOTED RE THE WAIT ROOM HAD A DISABLED ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM JUST OFF OF IT. ROOM ENOUGH FOR A LRG WHEELCHAIR TO MAKE A FULL CIRCLE. I WORKED 45 YRS AS A CAREGIVER AND MY LAST 25 YRS WAS WITH A WHEELCHAIR BOUND 325 LB MAN IN A HUGE CHAIR W BELLS AND WHISTLES SO I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT HERE. [THIS RESTROOM IS CODE COMPLIANT!!] ALSO MY SON WORKS IN CONSTRUCTION AS AN INSPECTOR ( HE KNOWS THE CODE) HE WOULD GOLD STAR THESE GUYS FOR SURE!! THE SHOP WAS ALSO VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. I DID SOME RESEARCH B4 COMING IN OF OTHER SHOPS IN THE AREA. I WAS (NOT) IMPRESSED-ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO OLDER CARS LIKE MINE. IT SEEMS PEOPLE COMPLAIN AT SOME OTHER PLACES ABOUT THEIR CARS "GOING IN RUNNING BUT COMING OUT MISSING A CATALYTIC CONVERTER" OR COMING OUT "NOT RUNNING OR SUSTAINING DAMAGES" SOME HOW!! LOOK, I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW BACK IN 93 AND I WANTED A GOOD CAR OR MACHINE AND I MUST SAY I HAVE ((NEVER)) HAD A PROBLEM W THIS VEHICLE. TOYOTA TOOK GREAT CARE OF ME AND I WAS GOOD ABOUT IT'S CK-UPS. IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY NOW. I PUT A FEW EXTRA DOLLARS INTO IT A CPL YRS BACK TO MAKE SURE IT WOULD CARRY ME FOR A BIT LONGER SO, LAST THING I WANTED WAS ONE OF THOSE LITTLE 'MISHAPS' AT ONE OF THOSE (( OTHER PLACES)). SO ((TRISTAR)) WILL BE MY GO-TO PLACE AS LONG AS SHE KEEPS RUNNIN. AFTER THAT I'LL BE A GOOD REFERRAL!! BTW I PAID $75.00 AND WAS OUT OF THERE IN LIKE ? 30 MIN. NOW, EVERYBODY'S CAR IS DIFFERENT... SO, MINE HAD NO PROBLEMS. IT WAS A STRAIGHT 'STAR SMOG'. BUT I FELT THAT THAT PRICE WAS QUITE FAIR AND VERY REASONABLE. THERE WAS ALSO ACCESSIBLE PARKING RIGHT NEXT TO THE ENTRANCE I JUST WANTED TO ADD THAT TRISTAR DESERVES ((LOTS OF ADDL KUDOS)) FOR THAT [[STELLAR ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM.]] THE AMERICANS W DISABILITIES ACT HAS BEEN IN FORCE FOR WELL OVER 20 YRS AND PEOPLE ARE STILL HARD PRESSED TO FIND PLACES TO SHOP FOR GOODS AND SERVICES THAT OFFER ACCESSIBILITY. OUR POPULATION IS AGING ( THE BABY BOOMERS) AND ITS BEEN A RACE AGAINST TIME TO GET PEOPLE TO COMPLY...LET ALONE DO IT CORRECTLY AND UP TO PROPER CODE REGULATIONS. ITS CLEAR THIS WAS NOT 'JUST DONE' WHICH TELLS ME THEY MOST LIKELY GOT RIGHT ON IT, AS SOON AS THEY COULD, ONCE THE LAW WAS EFFECTIVE. ITS NOT AN INEXPENSIVE UNDERTAKING FOR BUSINESSES TO DO THIS WORK NOR DOES IT PAY-OFF FOR EVERYONE ONCE COMPLIANT. SO, IF YOU ARE DISABLED AND YOU FREQUENT SHOPS THAT ARE COMPLIANT, ESPECIALLY SMALL BUSINESSES BECAUSE ITS A HUGE UNDERTAKING FOR MANY FINANCIALLY AND CONSTRUCTION-WISE AS WELL. BE SURE TO "CATCH THEM BEING GOOD" AND OFFER A KUDO TO THEM. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO JUST GOT OUT AND DID IT (WITHOUT BEING POKED AND PRODDED). THEY SET THE EXAMPLE FOR THOSE WE MUST POKE AND PROD. AND WHEN YOU ARE DISABLED AND IN A CHAIR IT TRULY MEANS SO MUCH TO KNOW YOU CAN GO GET SOMETHING DONE THAT DAY WITHOUT THE WORRY AND FRUSTRATION OF HAVING TO WONDER IF, IN THE EVENT YOU NEED A RESTROOM, WHETHER ITS EVEN GOING TO BE THERE FOR YOU....(SOMETHING THE REST OF US TAKE FOR GRANTED.)
