Memorial Day weekend is thought of as the unofficial start to the summer season, but we should never forget that it is because of those who served and lost their lives in our defense that we have the freedoms we hold dear today. Have a safe holiday weekend, from everyone at Village Auto Repair. Water getting into your engines cylinders can lead to extensive damage to the expensive parts of the engine. Unlike the air and droplets of fuel in the cylinders, water is not compressible so when the pistons try to squeeze the water, the pistons lose. If your engine is running rough, make it a p... If your fuel injectors are faulty and insufficient fuel is being injected into the engine, your car won’t run efficiently. A less efficient engine means increased fuel consumption, and a decrease in fuel economy. If you have noticed that your miles per gallon have decreased, stop in to Village Au... Rough road conditions are difficult on many vehicles. If you regularly drive on rough roads, your exhaust system may not last as long as it normally would. The bumps, holes, and shaking that happens while you drive in these conditions can lead weak areas, like joints, to crack and leak carbon mon... Does your car key share a chain with a dozen or more other keys? That’s a pretty heavy load hanging off the car key when it’s in the ignition. The weight, combined with bouncing while you drive, can wear out the tumblers inside the ignition and eventually lead to ignition switch failure. To add ye... If you notice a low tire pressure warning light don't ignore it. Driving on low pressure can lead to uneven wear on your tires, and eventually greater damage. If you notice that one of your tires isn't holding air as well, it could be a sign of an underlying problem such as a puncture in the tire... If you notice wet spots on your driveway from your car it could be a sign of a radiator leak. Corrosion is the typical culprit when it comes to radiator leaks. However, the root cause of corrosion can be anything from poor maintenance to factory defects to contaminated fluid. If you notice this, ... The A/C is like a competitive runner; if it doesn’t run regularly, it will lose its form. Hence, you should try to run the A/C for at least 10 minutes once per week. Make sure when you do it, you adjust to the coldest settings and let the fan peak. Also, regularly running the defroster is equally... Just like the brake warning light, if the ABS warning light flashes, it’s a sign that there could be a problem with the anti-lock braking system. In other words, it could be harder for you to suddenly stop your vehicle in an emergency situation. This light could be cause by a malfunctioning ABS m... I've had a couple problems since they worked on my car. The first problem was with the new snow tires they put on my car before I moved cross country from Connecticut to Minnesota in January. They replaced all 4 tires and they mounted the snow tires on the front wheels of my Honda Civic (front wheel drive car) backwards. The tires have a directional tread and how they are mounted makes a big difference in getting good traction. The snow tire they put on my front left side also deflated the entire trip and kept needing to be refilled. I took this tire to several shops and nobody could find an issue with it, so I will assume it's a manufacturer defect. The last issue I am having is that the fuel leak they fixed last winter is back. I am not happy it has to be repaired again.

Tom and Jolene are the best! I was deriving through on my way to NYC and my car was loosing power and was extremely noisy. Tom and Joelene diagnosed my problem; eased my worries, and did the necessary repairs. I'm only sorry I don't live in the area so I could use this shop on a regular basis.
